This is a picture of an Pottery Barn rug that has design markings hidden on the warp and weft yarns. (see the blue color in the backing) I'm up against the challenge of not getting these markings to bleed into the fibers. This is how close I inspect every rug. You can always count on A-List to take special care of your investment.

Working with Interior Designers, the textiles used often are made from natural resources. Unlike synthetic fibers, the clean-ability is much less. Natural fibers tend to be absorbent and can sometimes bleed, discolor or shrink. I can't stress enough how important it is to apply a protective finish to help prevent the absorption of mishaps and just regular soiling.

There are many different brands and types of fabric protectors available in the market. As an independent company and not a franchise bond to a particular product, I can choose the product that BEST fits the application.

If you would love to learn more about how I can help protect your investment, you can always call or email me, as I am always happy to discuss a plan with you.

I’m almost positive I can speak for the whole world when I say no one looks forward to allergy season. Pollen has especially been a big contributor to allergies this year, especially these past few weeks the pollen has been uncontrollable. As many can probably relate, there have been several times within this recent month I have gone out to my car and literally could not see a thing out of my front or back windshield. I’ve honestly looked forward to the rain, just to catch a short break from this awful yellow powder! Not only that, but if you have left your house windows open you may have noticed a collection of these microscopic grains clustering together and attaching to your television, tables, or anything else around. What many don’t realize is these particles can imbed themselves inside carpets and upholstery which can easily lead to an allergic reaction. Pollen is not the only form of particles that may be creeping around your carpet; dust mites, dead skin cells, and several other disturbing substances may be lingering around just waiting to be stirred up and breathed in!

Unfortunately, spring is known prominently as allergy season, and your carpets and upholstery may be one of the main culprits in allergy attacks. How many times have you got home from work, took off your shoes and coat, and sat down next to the TV on your comfortable designer rug all ready to relax, but before you even get a chance to take a deep breath you find yourself in a state of sneezing uncontrollably. Whenever you have company over you find your friends, family, or maybe your children joining you in a coughing frenzy. Have you ever wondered what’s going on? I know I have. The reasoning behind this is closer than you may have ever imagined, under your nose, feet, or even your entire body. The last thing we think of is our carpet! For most of us we go through our days not even thinking twice of what may be inside our rugs or carpets because if you can’t see it, it’s not there right? If only this were true.

Carpet is a magnet for allergens like dust mites, mold, pet dander, and other annoying proteins. Allergens are antigens which provoke allergic reactions including coughing and sneezing in people that have hypersensitive immune systems. Most of us are at least allergic to something and it’s sad to say a carpet can collect a number of allergy provoking particles. The dust mites found in many places in your home, including your carpet, are microscopic eight legged creatures that will produce 200 times its own body weight in feces; feces is the cause of the development of allergies. Look at your carpet and think of how disgusting it is to have all these microorganisms running around and continuously reproducing triggering your allergies! The fibers that are used in upholstery, rugs and carpets are perfect breeding ground for these dust mites, mold, fungi, mildew, and other microorganisms. Professional carpet cleaning and upholstery services can effectively remove particulate material that falls out of the air and into furniture and carpeting. Would you want to go years without showering or washing up? The answer is probably not, and neither should your carpet!

Some people may believe the solution to eliminating the amount of debris that collects in their homes would be to get rid of carpeting altogether. I personally like carpet way more than hardwood floors because they are more comfortable and aesthetically appealing. Not only are carpets visually attractive, but what most don’t understand is carpeting acts like a filter which prevents allergens from being stirred up reducing the risk of allergic reactions. Carpets have a real value in reducing allergies. When people walk across hardwood floors, the wind from them walking stirs up allergens that had been on the floor and make them airborne. The particles in the air are then breathed in by residents causing allergic reactions. In comparison, carpeted floors are less likely to cause allergens to stir up and be released into the air when people walk across them. Much like any type of filter, carpets need to be cleaned properly to reduce allergens like pollen or dead skin cells that collect over time.

There are different processes individual carpets must go through depending on what material they are made of. There is revolutionary anti-allergen cleaning and treatment programs that are available. This new age technology allows a cleaning professional like A-List to safely, easily, and affordably reduce the levels of allergy related particles by 90% or more! No matter how spotless your home may be it is impossible to completely eliminate or clean away dust mites and other allergens. The secret of this new allergy relief treatment is the use of specialized cleaning agents that are followed by the application of Allergy Relief Treatment on carpets, upholstery rugs, mattresses, and bedding. I know, I know “Is this too good to be true?” the answer is no. You can obtain effective symptom relief through getting this treatment which will immediately reduce symptoms.

Allergy Relief treatment works by changing the shape of allergen proteins, making them unrecognizable to the body. This prevents them from causing allergic reactions that we all deal with on a day to day basis! It’s crazy to think how we spend one-third of our lives in the bedroom and are exposed to highly potent allergens for a majority of our lives. Mattresses contain 60% of the dust mites found in homes. Once a bedroom has been completely cleaned and treated using the Anti-Allergen System, results may be seen within the first three days, or even during the first night!

When applied correctly, Allergy Relief Treatment may provide residual effects for up to six months. All of the products used are hypoallergenic, non-toxic, dye and perfume free, safe for you, your children, and even your pets. The products are odor free and are specially formulated for use around people with severe allergies, like myself. So give yourself a break this season and give us a call to get the relief you deserve.
